Agartala: Dec 13:   Vijay Divas will be on 16th December next this year. It is celebrated every year to mark India’s victory over Pakistan and the creation of Bangladesh in December 1971. Homage will be paid to martyrs of the 1971 Liberation war. The people of India and Bangladesh celebrate it every year.The Mohan Vijay Diwas will be celebrated on the initiative of Bangladesh Assistant High Commission at Agartala on December 16, along with the people of Tripura who genuinely helped in the great liberation war of Bangladesh. Tripura Assembly Speaker Ratan Chakraborty will be present as the chief guest on this occasion.Arif Mohammad, Assistant High Commissioner of Bangladesh Assistant High Commission office in Agartala announced this news in a press conference at the office of Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Agartala on Tuesday. He also said that the national flag of Bangladesh will be hoisted in front of the office of Bangladesh Assistant High Commission at Agartala on Friday at 8 am. Bani will be recited at 8:10. A wreath will be placed at the portrait of the Father of the Nation at 9 am. Then everyone will go to Elbert Ekka Park. Go there and pay respect to the martyrs. 1 minute silence will be observed in memory of the martyrs of the Great Liberation War at 9:50. Later, a discussion meeting will be held at the office of Bangladesh Assistant High Commission at Agartala at 10:07. Interesting cultural program will be held at 11:15 am.
