Agartala, October 21:
Lok Sabha MP from West Tripura, Biplab Kumar Deb, on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on the West Bengal government, alleging complete breakdown of law and order and widespread corruption under the current regime. Speaking to the media after visiting the Jay Maa Kali Santan Sangha temple at Indranagar, Deb claimed that Bengal had turned into a state “where the value of human life no longer exists.”

“People in Bengal are being murdered, raped, and assaulted without fear of consequence. The law and order situation is in total disarray. And all this is happening under a woman Chief Minister’s watch,” Deb said, adding that those responsible for the state’s moral and administrative decline would soon be removed through democratic means.

Criticizing the leadership in sharp terms, Deb remarked that the Chief Minister’s conduct was contrary to the compassion and dignity traditionally associated with womanhood in Indian society. “A woman is known for her motherly instincts and kindness, but this is an exceptional case. It seems she has no empathy in her heart,” he said.

Accusing the ruling dispensation of large-scale corruption, Deb alleged that relatives of the Chief Minister had purchased multiple properties in Kalighat and that land mafias were operating with impunity. He asserted that the public mood in Bengal had turned decisively against the ruling party.

“People are angry and disillusioned. The corruption has reached its peak, and the citizens are ready to give a strong response in the next elections. I firmly believe that the sacred land of Bengal will soon be freed from all demons who have been thriving under political patronage,” Deb said, exuding confidence about a political change in the state.
