Victory Day Celebrated at Albert Ekka Park in Agartala

Agartala: Dec 15: On December 16th, 2024, Victory Day was celebrated at the Albert Ekka Park in Lichubagan, Agartala, in honor of the valiant soldiers who made supreme sacrifices during the 1971 Liberation War. The event was organized by the Indian Army and included a solemn tribute to the martyrs at the Shaheed Smarak (Martyr’s Memorial).

The Governor of Tripura,  Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, attended the ceremony and paid her respects. Also present at the event were Major General Sameer Charan Kartike and other distinguished dignitaries from the Indian Army. The commemoration was marked by various activities, including floral tributes to the martyrs, ensuring that the bravery and sacrifices of the soldiers who fought for the nation’s freedom were not forgotten.

The occasion of Victory Day holds immense significance, as it marks the victory of the Indian Armed Forces and the creation of Bangladesh. The event also served as a reminder of the strong resolve and courage of those who fought during the war. The gathering at Albert Ekka Park demonstrated the continued respect and admiration for the sacrifices made by the soldiers, reinforcing the importance of national unity, patriotism, and remembrance of the pivotal moments in India’s history.

This tribute is a moment to honor the fallen heroes of 1971 and to reflect on the spirit of freedom and courage that shaped the nation’s destiny.
