Agartala September 16: Humanity was introduced by those known as the giants of the society. On Friday afternoon, these transgenders once again opened the eyes of the common people in the society. This contribution was made by ten transgenders who have been living near the radio center in Udaipur Banduar for a long time. A group of ten people including Mustafa Sheikh alias Jhumur, Mamta Sheikh, Pooja Purkayastha, Nayani Purkayastha and Antara Purkayastha sheltered a pregnant woman who was suffering from mental imbalance when she was pregnant.
When the pregnant woman suffering from labour pain they taken her to Tripura Sundari Mahakuma Hospital. The doctor on duty there referred her to Gomati District Hospital at Tepaniya for better treatment. However, when the pregnant woman was taken to the Gomati district hospital, the doctor allegedly did not provide any service. Then they keep the woman with them. A daughter was born at home with the help of the ten transgender. Mother and child were taken to Maharani Primary Hospital. Currently, mother and child both are healthy. By thinking about the future of the child, it was handed over to Child Line under the leadership of Jhumur, Gomati District Child Welfare Office. Everyone burst into tears. Jhulan Chandra Das, chairman of the Gomati district committee of the Child Welfare Department, praised Jhumur, popularly known as Brihannala, among others for this work.
