Agartala, July 13: Vice Chancellor of Tripura Central University, Professor Debabrata Das, paid a courtesy call on Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu at Lok Bhavan in Agartala on Monday morning. The meeting, held in a cordial atmosphere, focused on issues concerning higher education, academic development, research initiatives and the overall progress of the Central University of Tripura.

Professor Das briefed the Governor, who serves as the Visitor’s representative for the state in matters relating to higher education, about the university’s recent academic achievements, ongoing developmental projects and future plans aimed at strengthening the institution’s teaching, research and innovation ecosystem.

During the interaction, the Vice Chancellor highlighted the university’s efforts to enhance academic excellence through quality education, research collaborations, faculty development programmes and improved infrastructure. He also shared details of initiatives being undertaken to encourage innovation, skill development and greater industry-academia partnerships to benefit students.

Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu appreciated the university’s contribution to higher education in the state and stressed the importance of maintaining high academic standards while promoting research and innovation. He encouraged the university administration to continue working towards creating a vibrant academic environment that nurtures talent and prepares students to meet future challenges.

The Governor also underlined the need for greater collaboration between educational institutions, government agencies and industries to create more opportunities for students in areas such as entrepreneurship, employability and technological advancement. He expressed confidence that Tripura Central University would continue to play a significant role in the educational and socio-economic development of the state.

The meeting also touched upon various initiatives aimed at improving student welfare, expanding research facilities and promoting community outreach programmes. Both dignitaries discussed the importance of adopting modern teaching methodologies and leveraging technology to enhance the quality of higher education.

Professor Das thanked the Governor for his guidance and support towards the growth of higher education in Tripura. He reaffirmed the university’s commitment to achieving academic excellence and contributing to nation-building through quality education, impactful research and inclusive development.

The courtesy meeting concluded with both sides expressing optimism about the university’s future and reiterating their commitment to strengthening the state’s higher education ecosystem through collaborative efforts and sustained institutional development.
