Agartala, January 9: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Tripura on January 11. His visit to the state is considered to be of political importance ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

According to sources, the main objective of this visit is to strengthen the election preparations of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Before the visit, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha is holding an important meeting with state BJP president Rajib Bhattacharjee, former deputy chief minister Jishnu Dev Varma and other party leaders. Along with Amit Shah’s visit, several meetings are going on at the party level and at the ministerial level.

It is also learned that the Union Home Minister is expected to address public gatherings, interact with party workers and hold important meetings with local leaders to take stock.
