Agartala: April 20: In a distressing incident, a minor girl was subjected to gang rape by four youths who threatened her with violence. Tragically, the girl subsequently became pregnant. The revelation of this heinous act sent shockwaves through the community, prompting immediate action.

Following the exposure of the incident, the victim’s family filed a case at the Mungiakami police station. The authorities acted swiftly and diligently, apprehending all four accused individuals involved in this appalling crime.

The victim, a 15-year-old girl from the Mungiakami area under Teliamura sub-division, initially kept the traumatic experience to herself. However, as the gravity of the situation became apparent, she confided in her family members, recounting the harrowing details of the prolonged abuse. Subsequently, the family lodged a specific complaint with the Mungiakami police station, leading to the arrest of the four perpetrators.

The accused individuals, identified as Jyotish Tripura (18), Talendra Tripura (20), Tarun Kumar Tripura (19), and an unnamed minor, now face legal consequences for their reprehensible actions. The entire community remains deeply affected by this disturbing incident, emphasizing the need for justice and vigilance in safeguarding vulnerable individuals.
