Agartala/New Delhi: Hritwika Majumder from Tripura has brought pride to the Northeast by securing a place among the top 15 finalists at the prestigious Miss Grand India 2026 competition held at Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi, organisers announced on Sunday.
Adding another feather to her cap, Hritwika was also honoured with the subtitle “Miss Radiant Personality” during the national pageant, recognising her confidence, grace, and vibrant presence on stage. Contestants from various states across the country participated in the competition, making her achievement a significant milestone for Tripura and the Northeast region.
Hritwika is no stranger to the world of beauty pageants and achievements. She had earlier represented Tripura at Femina Miss India 2022 as a state finalist, where she earned appreciation and won the title “Beauty with Brains” for her intelligence and personality.
Apart from her success in modelling, Hritwika has also excelled academically. She completed her graduation from National Institute of Technology Agartala and later pursued an MSc in Chemistry, reflecting a strong balance between education and glamour.
One of the highlights of her appearance at the national pageant was the specially designed national costume that beautifully represented the rich culture and heritage of Tripura. The costume was created by Tripura-based designer Rohit Debbarma, who aimed to showcase the state’s traditional craftsmanship and artistic identity on a national platform.
Her journey at Miss Grand India 2026 was supported by Totell Fashion, a venture of Totell, a startup community based in Northeast India. Organisers said the initiative played a key role in encouraging and promoting young talents from the region.
Speaking on her achievement, Totell co-founder Dr Mughavi A Tuccu said that Hritwika’s success serves as an inspiration for aspiring models, students, artists, and dreamers from Tripura and the entire Northeast, proving that talent and determination can shine on any national platform.
