Tripura will launch medical tourism policy: Chief Minister

Agartala May 29: After Prime Minister Narendra Modi assumed office, the name of the Planning Commission was changed to Niti Aayog. The Chief Ministers of various states and the Lt. Governors of Union States were present in the Niti Aayog meeting held in Delhi recently. The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Chief Minister from Tripura state was present in the meeting. After returning to the state after the Niti Aayog meeting, Chief Minister Mahakaran said in a press conference on Monday that the state was asked to speak on 8 points in the Niti Aayog meeting. First among them is target 2047. That is, what will be done in the state of Tripura for the next 25 years has been highlighted. More emphasis is given to small, micro and medium industries. Bangladesh is on three sides of Tripura state. Naturally, the state has advantages in export trade.

Those issues have been brought up in the NITI Aayog meeting. Additional capital subsidy has been mentioned for private entrepreneurs to come forward in the field of investment along with government initiatives. Tripura Industrial Investment Promotion Incentive Scheme has already been launched. That issue has also been brought up in the Niti Aayog meeting. 835 Crores before the State of Tripura Muldhani Expenditure. Currently it has increased to 2200 crores. Apart from the state, various central agencies also spend capital. It can be seen that the total capital expenditure in the state is 5 thousand to 6 thousand crores. As a result, the infrastructural development of the state is taking place. Investor summits are held from time to time so that investors can know about the benefits of the state. The state government has also identified the necessary sites for setting up industries. Funds were sought from ADB to further develop the industrial taluks of the state.

ADB agreed to make the payment. The chief minister said that he had raised this issue in the meeting of the Niti Aayog. 33 percent reservation for women in government jobs in Tripura state for women empowerment. The state government plans to create an all-women TSR force. Women self-help groups were also brought up in the Niti Aayog meeting. PM always says local for vocal. His state government emphasized on skill building. The state government has invested about 1 thousand crore rupees to attract domestic and foreign tourists to the state. The state government is soon going to launch the Tripura Medical Tourism Policy. The Chief Minister also said that the Chief Minister’s Conclave was held after the NITI Aayog meeting. Chief Ministers of all BJP-ruled states were present there. Tripura was asked about various issues in the meeting. The Chief Minister highlighted all the issues. Tripura has been praised for building houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Chief Secretary JK Sinha along with other officials were present at the press conference on this day.
