Tripura to generate 500 MW of green and clean energy by 2030: Ratan

Agartala October 6: Green and clean energy. In this regard, a meeting was held in Delhi on Thursday with all the power ministers of North Eastern region, the secretary of the power department, the central power secretary and the officials concerned. It was presided over by the Union Power Minister.

After returning to the state, Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath highlighted various issues discussed in the meeting in a press conference. At a press conference in Mahakaran on Friday, Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath said, without electricity, it is never possible to become a modern or new India. Electricity is very important. All cases require electricity. He said, thinking about the environment, the central government is going to plan from now on how to create green and clean energy. The minister said that various proposals have been put in the meeting on behalf of the state. So far 39 thousand solar street lights have been installed in the state. Now about 50 thousand will be available from the center. Off-seed power plant will be constructed.

60 crore will be spent for this. He also highlighted various schemes. Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath also said that 8 panchayat villages in the state have been identified as solar village pilot projects. It will be started in Mohinipur Panchayat in between. Talking about the discussion in the meeting, the power minister also said that 500,000 MW of green and clean energy should be created in India by 2030. And at this time 500 MW should be produced in Tripura. The minister said that this work is difficult but not impossible.
