A leader of the organization mentioned that the CAA was passed in Parliament on December 11, 2019, which coincides with today’s date. TSF had protested against the law back then, and despite their opposition, the law was enacted. They declared December 11 as a “Black Day” in Tripura and the entire Northeast region, marking the anniversary of the law’s passage. Every year on this day, the organization organizes protests against the CAA.

The TSF’s primary demand is the immediate repeal of the Citizenship Amendment Act. They argue that the law discriminates against certain religious communities and could negatively impact the demographic balance and identity of the indigenous people of the region. The protestors raised their voices against the government’s stance and reiterated their commitment to opposing the law until it is revoked.
