Tripura Police arrested one  for possession of Yaba tablets

Agartala: April 05: Agartala West Police Station has detained Mangal Deep Biswas in the Battala Market area on Thursday night for possession of Yaba tablets, based on confidential information. The authorities reportedly recovered 2,000 Yaba tablets from the accused, with an estimated market value of over 2.5 lakh rupees.

SDPO Debprasad Roy stated that Mangal Deep Biswas had previously been convicted under the Narcotics Control Act in 2023 and has been arrested once again, facing charges related to drug trafficking. Law enforcement officials mentioned that he will be presented in court on Friday, where his remand will be requested.

 

Authorities confirmed that appropriate legal measures are being undertaken against the accused, and the investigation into the matter is ongoing. This operation has been seen as a significant effort to tackle drug-related activities in the region, bringing relief to the local community.
