The programme began with leaders offering floral tributes to a portrait of Lenin, honoring his immense contribution to socialist thought and revolutionary movements worldwide. The tribute symbolized continued admiration for his ideals, which remain influential in shaping leftist political discourse even today.

Senior CPI(M) leader and former minister Manik Dey, along with other prominent figures of the party, attended the event. Addressing the gathering, Dey spoke at length about Lenin’s life, principles, and his unwavering commitment to the upliftment of the working class. He emphasized Lenin’s role in championing equality, social justice, and the rights of marginalized communities.

Dey noted that in the present socio-political climate, Lenin’s ideology continues to hold strong relevance. He urged party members and citizens alike to draw inspiration from Lenin’s teachings in order to strengthen democratic values and work toward a more equitable society. According to him, the principles of socialism and collective welfare advocated by Lenin are essential in addressing modern-day challenges such as economic disparity and social injustice.

The event also served as a platform for party members to reaffirm their commitment to the ideals of socialism and people-centric governance. A significant number of party workers and supporters were present, reflecting the enduring influence of Lenin’s philosophy among grassroots cadres.

The observance concluded on a note of unity and resolve, with participants pledging to carry forward Lenin’s vision in their political and social efforts, keeping alive his legacy in contemporary times.
