The Maitri Setu, a symbol of India-Bangladesh friendship, spanning the Feni River, was the first stop on the Governor’s itinerary. He inspected the bridge’s condition and emphasized its role in fostering bilateral ties and facilitating cross-border connectivity.

Subsequently, Governor Nallulu turned his attention to the Integrated Check Post (ICP), which is being constructed adjacent to the Maitri Setu. The ICP aims to streamline trade and movement of goods between the two nations. Sources indicate that both the state and central governments are keen on inaugurating the Sabroom ICP before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Accompanying the Governor were prominent officials, including LP AI Chairman Debashish Nandi, South District Magistrate Saju Waheed A, and Sabroom Sub-Divisional Magistrate Shivashish Dow. Their presence underscores the significance of this inspection and the commitment to regional development.

In summary, the people of Sabroom and the Sabroom sub-division stand on the cusp of realizing their aspirations for progress and growth. The Governor’s visit signifies a step forward in this journey toward a brighter future.
