Agartala: Dec 10: In a cabinet meeting held on Tuesday, the Tripura government decided to create 498 vacant positions across various departments and fill them accordingly. Minister Sushanta Chowdhury shared the details in a press conference at the Secretariat following the meeting.
In the Health and Family Welfare Department, 161 vacant positions have been created. These positions include physiotherapists (8), dental technicians (4), ECG technicians (14), computer technicians (4), radiographers (29), junior storekeepers (9), orthopedic specialists (1), rehabilitation experts (1), physiotherapists (2), cataloguers (1), rehabilitation assistants (1), OT assistants (7), ward masters (3), dressers (6), optometrists (19), plaster technicians (6), library assistants (1), carpenters (1), junior engineers (1), and multi-rehabilitation specialists (1). The vacant positions will be filled through exams conducted by the relevant departments, and the appointments will be made across various districts and hospitals in the state.
Additionally, the Industry and Commerce Department will create and fill 96 vacant positions, including extension officers (6), field assistants (38), senior instructors (25), storekeepers (4), and drivers (6). These appointments will also be made through the department.
Furthermore, 241 vacant LDC (Lower Division Clerk) positions have been created in the Health and Family Welfare Department, with a decision to fill them. However, the exact process for filling these LDC positions has not yet been finalized.
Minister Chowdhury also announced that the recruitment process for Special Executives is in the final stages. Initially, their salary was set at ₹11,000, but it has now been increased to ₹13,000. A total of 6,067 Special Executives will be recruited soon.
