The decisions were taken at a meeting of the Council of Ministers chaired by Chief Minister Manik Saha on Thursday.

Briefing reporters at the civil secretariat, Chowdhury said the Cabinet approved setting up an Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital at Tepania in Gomati district with an annual intake of 60 students from the 2026–27 academic session.
