Agartala: June 29: During the 123rd episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat on Sunday, Rajya Sabha MP and Tripura BJP president Rajib Bhattacharjee joined party workers at Booth No. 44 in Khayerpur Mandal to listen in and interact with the local community.

Calling Mann Ki Baat “a bridge that connects hearts,” Bhattacharjee emphasized the programme’s role in strengthening ties between the leadership and the grassroots.

As part of the outreach initiative, the BJP state president visited Mekhlipara Tea Garden, where he engaged with tea garden workers and local women beneficiaries. Many of these women have achieved economic self-reliance through government welfare schemes aimed at empowering marginalized communities.

Bhattacharjee’s visit aimed to foster a direct dialogue with citizens and assess the impact of central and state-level development initiatives on the ground. Speaking to the gathering, he highlighted the transformational progress Tripura has witnessed under the “Double-Engine” government, referring to the coordinated efforts of BJP-led administrations at the Centre and in the state.

“The BJP government has prioritized inclusive growth, ensuring that development reaches even the most remote corners of Tripura,” he said.

Demonstrating his commitment to environmental and social welfare, Bhattacharjee also took part in a plantation drive under the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign, a green initiative encouraging people to plant trees in honor of their mothers.

The event in Khayerpur saw enthusiastic participation from party karyakartas and local residents, reflecting growing community engagement with national initiatives.
