Tragic Incident in Kanchanpur: Student and Youth found Dead

Agartala: Sept 02: A tragic incident in Kanchanpur on Monday morning has left the community in shock. The incident occurred in front of the post office near Kanchanpur police station, where a young man fatally stabbed a 10th-grade student on her way to school before taking his own life.

The deceased student, Tania Bardua, aged 16, was attacked around 8:30 AM by Kartik Debnath, aged 19. According to reports, Kartik stopped Tania on her way to school and, when she tried to avoid him, began stabbing her. After Tania fell to the ground, Kartik slit his own throat.

Both individuals were taken to the hospital by police and locals. Unfortunately, Tania succumbed to her injuries shortly after arrival. Kartik, in critical condition, was referred to Dharmanagar District Hospital, where he also passed away.

The families of both victims are devastated by the incident. The Sub-Divisional Police Officer, who visited the hospital, stated that the motive behind the incident is still unclear. The Kanchanpur police have launched an investigation to determine whether the incident is related to a love affair.
