Agartala, August 9: The International Tribal Day was celebrated by Tipra Matha Dal. On this day, the workers of Tipra Matha Dal organized a rally from Nowagang Bazar under Panisagar sub-division.
The people of Janjati community participated in the rally. They were holding placards with various demands. At the end of the rally, a minute’s silence was observed for the dead in Manipur riots.
Jaisum Halam while giving a speech, he said, International Adivasi Day is being celebrated in 90 other countries besides India. Why is the Prime Minister of India not talking about the state of Manipur? Besides, the Prime Minister should solve the problem of torture, rape, murder and torture of the Adivasi.
