Agartala: Nov 08: In a shocking incident on Thursday afternoon, three minor girls were abducted while returning home from school. The abduction occurred around 3:30 pm when a group of miscreants in a high-speed, battery-powered auto blocked the girls’ path and forcibly abducted them. The criminals managed to knock the students unconscious, and for a while, their whereabouts remained unknown. The families of the minors became alarmed when their daughters did not return home as expected and immediately began searching for them.

Later in the evening, the abductors abandoned the three girls in the rubber garden area near the Radhapur Salt Factory. The minors, unharmed but shaken, managed to find their way to the nearby house of Niranjan Shukla Baidya. Seeking help, they approached Baidya, who, with the assistance of local residents, managed to contact the families of the girls. The information was then quickly relayed to the Dharmanagar Police Station.

Upon receiving the news, the police rushed to the location and took the minors into their custody. During interrogation, the girls stated that they had no recollection of events after being abducted, though they did recall passing through the Haflong Tea Plantation area in the auto. Police sources confirmed that the minors were not harmed during their ordeal, and no evidence of physical injury was found.

An investigation into the abduction is ongoing, and authorities are probing the motives behind the crime. While the situation has left the local community in the Dewanpasha area tense and concerned, police have assured the public that the perpetrators will be apprehended soon.

The entire episode has caused considerable alarm in the region, and residents are awaiting further updates on the investigation.
