Three Bangladeshi Nationals Arrested for Illegal Entry in Tripura

Agartala, , May 30:  Police from the East Agartala Police Station apprehended three Bangladeshi nationals, including a woman, for illegal entry into India. Acting on secret information, the police detained the suspects near Chandrapur ISBT. During the search, authorities found 3,000 Indian rupees and 1,200 Bangladeshi takas in their possession.

The arrested individuals confessed to being Bangladeshi citizens and revealed that they had crossed the Sonamura border with the assistance of a broker. Their intended destination was Punjab, where they planned to seek employment. The detainees have been identified as Mohammad Noor, Mohammad Abdullah, and Asna Begum, all residents of Bangladesh.

Officer-in-Charge Sanjit Sen of the East Police Station emphasized the importance of vigilance in monitoring suspicious activities and maintaining border security. The case will be further investigated to determine the extent of their illegal activities and any potential connections to human trafficking networks.
