Agartala: April 24: In a recent development, the East Agartala police station successfully apprehended three notorious thieves along with the stolen money. The incident unfolded when a theft occurred at the residence of advocate Biplab Bhattacharjee in the Math Chaumohani area of Agartala. The gang of thieves made off with approximately one lakh rupees from the house before fleeing the scene.

Promptly, Biplab Bhattacharjee lodged a theft complaint with the police, prompting an investigation. The authorities meticulously reviewed CCTV camera footage to gather evidence. As a result, the East police station managed to apprehend the three suspects, who were found in possession of the stolen cash.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Binoy Saha, Amit Roy, and Rahul Das. Notably, they have previously faced charges related to various theft cases. Further revelations about the gang of thieves are anticipated as the police continue their interrogation at the station.
