Agartala, June 14: The West District Police Administration has taken strict measures to curb crime. A large police force led by Superintendent of Police Kiran Kumar raided various places in the capital Agartala late on Tuesday night. Police patrolling will continue in the coming days to ensure the security of the city, said Kiran Kumar.

On this day, he said, various cars and scooters have correct documents, whether the drivers and passengers are using seat belts, it has been observed. Moreover, 5 youths have been arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Five vehicles have also been seized. The driving license of the five youths will be suspended.

 

He added that as the night wore on, some of the intoxicated youths became active. Drive while intoxicated and go out on the road. As a result, vehicle accidents are constantly increasing. Henceforth there will be police patrolling in the city late at night against them. He appealed to the general public to follow traffic rules.
