Agartala: July 13: The weakness of the ruling party BJP is coming to light in the panchayat elections. They don’t want to face the people in the elections. So they are trying to disenfranchise the people. Politburo member and former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar raised the tone against BJP while taking physical inquiry of Zilla Parishad candidate and Rajnagar CPM leader Badal Shil, who is undergoing treatment at GB Hospital today.

On this day, he said, ignoring the hurdles in the panchayat elections, Badal Shil went to Rajnagar to submit his nomination as a member of the Zilla Parishad. There he was attacked by the protégés of the ruling party. He is currently undergoing treatment at GB Hospital.

On this day, he raised the tone against the BJP and said that the signs of the weakness of the ruling party, the BJP, are showing. Because 61 percent of the people in the state voted against the BJP in the assembly elections. Moreover, BJP managed to come to power in the Lok Sabha elections by committing massive fraud. Therefore, the ruling party is trying to steal votes in the panchayat elections. He also said that the people are angry with the BJP government. They have understood what its consequences could be in the panchayat elections. So they continue to attack across the state.
