It was attended by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Health Department Secretary Dr. Debashis Bose and others. Speaking at the seminar, the Chief Minister said that the priority area of the government is health. He said, now people are shocked when they hear about drugs. Referring to the misuse of drugs in an illegal manner, he said that in reality, many people open pharmacies with a license and put medicine in front and sell other drugs behind the scenes. Generation after generation is being destroyed by this.

Expressing concern over the misuse of illegal drugs, the Chief Minister said again that Bangladesh is making Tripura a corridor for drugs coming from Myanmar via Assam. Chief Minister said that 13 lakh Ayushman Bharat cards have been distributed in Tripura. He said on this day that the state government had promised to provide another 5 lakhs.
