The 41st Book Fair will begin on March 24

The 41st Agartala Book Fair will start from March 24 at the International Fair Grounds in Hampania. The book fair will continue till April 5. A meeting of the management committee was held at Muktdhara Auditorium on Friday. The meeting was presided over by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha.

Mayor Deepak Majumder, MLA Minarani Sarkar, Tripura University Vice-Chancellor Ganga Prasad Pressein, Information Culture Department Secretary P Chakraborty, Director Ratan Biswas and others were present. Administrative officers along with various publishing houses participated in the meeting of the management committee. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that the environment of the book fair should be kept orderly. In this case the responsibility is not limited to different departments. Common people should also come forward. 17 awards will be given at the book fair. A committee has been formed for that. Preparation meeting before any event is very important. The chief minister asked everyone to accept the decisions taken by consensus from the meeting. Rabindra Bhavan, Shishu Udyan, Umakanta School premises and now the Book Fair has reached the International Fair premises. It should be kept in mind that G-20 representatives will join this year’s book fair. They will come to the state from abroad. Will visit the book fair on March 3. Therefore, the chief minister gave a message to keep the theme of the book fair in that direction. Entrepreneurs are trying to make the Agartala Book Fair historic this time like the previous days.
