In his speech, Narendra Modi emphasized on improving the communication system across the country. A few days ago he had appealed to the Union Railway Minister Ashwini Baishab to arrange train services up to Mumbai. Because, daily many people from the state travel to Mumbai for treatment, education, job and travel. If trains run from Agartala to Mumbai, it will benefit the common man. Yesterday, the Ministry of Railways informed the state government about the decision to establish a new rail link.

On this day Sushanta Chowdhury said, the movement of Lokmanya Kamakhya Tilak weekly express train has been extended to Agartala in Tripura. Between Guwahati and Agartala, stoppages will be provided at Ambasa, Dharmanagar, Badarpur, New Haflong, Lamding, Hojai and Chapramukh stations. The services of these trains will connect the remote areas of North Eastern region with Mumbai and Secunderabad.

On this day, he also said that Lokmanya Kamakhya Tilak Express will depart from Agartala station at 6 am on Thursday and reach Lokmanya Tilak station at 04.15 pm on Saturday. He expressed the hope that many tourists will come to Tripura by train if Lokmanya Tilak-Kamakhya Express runs.
