Agartala May 29: MLA Sudip Roy Barman and former MLA Ashish Kumar Saha made a deputation to the chairman of the concerned department to make PRTC mandatory including the concept of Bengali and Kakbarak languages as a qualification in all examinations conducted by the TPSC.
On this day, the chairman gave a deputation to Dr. A. Rastogi and highlighted the importance of the youth of the state. MLA Sudip Roy Barman mentioned in the demand letter, based on a notification issued by the Tripura Public Service Commission, seven vacancies were issued for the post of Agriculture Officer. In the notification, it is not said that it is desirable for the job candidate to know PRTC and Kakbarak and Bengali language. Due to which the unemployed from outside the state can also apply for these posts. Besides, in every job, PRTC and knowledge of Bangla and Kakbarak language is mandatory to provide job opportunity to the candidates of the state.
After the deputation, MLA Sudeep Roy Barman said, it appears that the relevant board authorities have made it mandatory to have PRTC and know Kakbarak and Bengali language for some posts but it is not being done in some cases. It is clear that the TPSC board is doing this to give priority to someone from outside the state. And the chairman said he will see. The Chairman was informed that since there was no examination, knowledge of Bengali and Kakbarak language along with PRTC was asked to be made compulsory. And this has been repeatedly raised in the Assembly of the past days. But the government has not budged till date. He also said that since the unemployed youth of Tripura state are not getting job opportunities in foreign states, then why should doors be open in Tripura for the children of foreign states?
