Agartala, Tuesday: A district-level review meeting was convened at the State Guest House conference hall to assess the progress of various welfare and development schemes being implemented in West Tripura district. The meeting brought together officials from the Animal Resources Development Department (ARDD), Fisheries Department, and Scheduled Caste Welfare Department, along with elected representatives of the district.
The session was chaired by Minister for ARDD, Fisheries and SC Welfare, Sudhangshu Das, who underscored the importance of ensuring timely delivery of benefits to eligible beneficiaries under different government schemes. Addressing the gathering, the Minister stressed that effective implementation and monitoring mechanisms must be strengthened so that no deserving individual is left out.
“We are closely reviewing whether government benefits are reaching people within the stipulated timeframe. Our priority is to accelerate the execution of ongoing projects and remove any bottlenecks in implementation,” he stated. He also directed officials to maintain transparency and accountability at every stage of project execution.
Detailed discussions were held on the status of departmental initiatives, fund utilization, and field-level challenges. Emphasis was laid on bridging gaps in service delivery, enhancing coordination among departments, and expediting pending works. The Minister called upon district authorities and departmental heads to work in close synergy to achieve targeted outcomes.
Among the prominent attendees were West Tripura Zilla Sabhadhipati Biswajit Shil, MLAs Mina Rani Sarkar and Antara Deb Sarkar, and West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar, along with senior officials from the concerned departments.
The review meeting reflected the government’s firm commitment to streamlining welfare measures and ensuring that development initiatives translate into tangible and timely benefits for the people of West Tripura district.
