This Indo-Bangla border market at Chagalnaiya in Feni district of Srinagar, Sabrum, South District of Tripura, was closed for the last four (4) years due to various reasons.
After being closed for four years, this border haat was opened on May 9 this month with the intervention of the representatives of the two countries.
An agreement was reached between the representatives of the two countries before the re-opening of this border crossing
1,200 people living within 5 km of the Srinagar border in India will be allowed to enter the border haat and 1,200 people living within 5 km of the Chagalnaya border in Bangladesh will be allowed to enter the border haat.
According to this opinion, although the number from India is correct, the number from Bangladesh is very less. As a result the sales in India are not going well . And in this the business of Indian businessmen is completely depressed.
As a reason for this, the President of Srinagar Business Association of Srinagar, India, complained that Bangladeshi authorities are harassing the aspirants of that country, especially the customs officials. Although each buyer of the two countries is told to trade 1600 taka, the buyers are leaving the purchased items at the border of Bangladesh.
For which the mentality of coming to the border market and buying is decreasing.
The buyers of Bangladesh do not want to come, it has been reported from a special source.
On the second day, the Indo-Bangla border market of these two countries shows the buyers.

Once upon a time, this border market used to see a crowd of buyers from different districts of India and Bangladesh And currently, on the second day on Wednesday, buyers were not seen in the border market market.
That is what the well-intentioned people of Sabrum Srinagar border in the southern district have started saying If this continues, this market will be closed down . Well-intentioned people complain that the home department of the two countries keeps an eye on this border haat.
