Agartala 8th April: Indian Army rally to pay tribute to war martyrs on the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrita Mohotsav. This car rally has already covered seven states. This car rally started from Fort Williams in West Bengal on March 22 on behalf of the Eastern Command, Indian Army.

The rally was flagged off by Lt. Gen. Rana Pratap Kalita, GOC-in-C Eastern Command. The rally will cover all the capital cities of North Eastern states. The rally is staying at Agartala on the 18th day of the rally after visiting different areas. Members participating in the car rally visited the Albert Ekka Memorial Park on Saturday. There is a ceremony. Tributes to freedom fighters and heroes at Agartala. Aim is to gain experience about youth, freedom fighters, gallantry award winners. The tourism department has come forward with them in Agartala. On this day, Head of Department Tapan Kumar Das and other army officers were present on the occasion. Along with the former, the family members of the brave martyrs were honored on this day. School bags are distributed among the students. The rally will leave for Silchar on Sunday. It will end in Meghalaya.
