Agartala: November 6: The son showed the ultimate devilry by killing the pregnant mother with his own hands. The demonic behavior does not stop here. He spent three days keeping his mother’s dead body in the house. The hellish activities of Raju Debnath of Ward No. 3 of Radhapur Gram Panchayat under Dharmanagar Thana, have awakened in the entire state.

According to the details of the incident, on Monday morning, an electrician came to the house of Shanti Debnath, a resident of Ward No. 3 of Radhapur Gram Panchayat under Dharmanagar Thana, to pay the electric bill. He finds the door of Shanti Debnath’s room closed. He left the house in fear as soon as he felt blood stains and a rotten smell. After that he went to the nearby houses and informed the residents about this. Dharmanagar police received a call from the locals around 1 pm. On receiving the information, the police of Dharmanagar police station went to the house of Shanti Debnath. Raju Debnath (30 years old) came out from the police house of Dharmanagar police station along with local residents and said. After entering the house with the police, the locals found the body of Shanti Debnath (65) lying in a bloody state. Immediately, the police arrested Raju Debnath.

Initially, OC Nadugopal went to Shanti Debnath’s house, but later Dharmanagar sub-divisional police officer Debashish Saha and the forensic team rushed there. Raju Debnath admitted that he killed his mother with an axe on Friday night. made a hole in the house. He decided to hide his mother’s body in that hole. But due to lack of suitable time, he did not get a chance to hide his mother’s dead body.

According to locals, Shanti Debnath’s husband Jitendra Debnath lives in Agartala and daughter Soma Debnath is staying at her in-laws’ house in Haflong. Shanti Debnath and her son Raju Debnath lived in this house. Locals claim that Raju often beat his mother Shanti Devi. The body of Shanti Debnath will be kept at the North District Hospital mortuary in Dharmanagar today. It has been informed that the dead body will be handed over to the deceased’s husband and daughter after the post-mortem tomorrow i.e. Tuesday. Local residents are shocked by such demonic incidents.
