Agartala: July 10: In a disturbing incident, the lifeless body of a 22-year-old man, identified as Sujit Shil, was discovered in the Suryamaninagar area under Amtala police station. The gruesome discovery has sent shockwaves through the community.

The victim’s body was found near Babul Chaumuni in Suryamani Nagar, clad in a T-shirt and pants, with multiple head wounds. Initial reports indicate that a financial dispute may have led to this tragic outcome. Allegedly, three individuals—Krishna Acharjee, Sayan Roy, and Raju Sarkar—from the same locality assaulted and fatally stabbed Sujit Shil during the early hours of the morning.

Prompt action followed the news of the murder. Amtala police swiftly arrived at the scene, recovering the body. Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ranjit Debnath led the investigation, resulting in the detention of the three accused for questioning.

As of 10 am, the victim’s body remained at the crime scene, while the police continued their preliminary inquiry. Authorities have assured the public that the three suspects will be apprehended in connection with this heinous crime. Additionally, the Additional Superintendent of Police (West District) rushed to the Amtala police station upon learning of the tragedy.
