Agartala: Mar 12: The Tripura Legislative Assembly is set to commence its budget session on March 21, which will span seven days and conclude on April 1. This decision was reached unanimously during a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC), as announced by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ratan Lal Nath.
Minister Nath highlighted that the BAC meeting regarding the budget session took place in the Assembly. He noted that a seven-day budget session has not been observed in the past 15 years under the previous administration. Under the current government, the number of session days has reportedly reached a record high, reflecting the treasury bench’s belief in the value of extensive discussions.
On the opening day of the session, additional expenditure allocations will be presented. Subsequently, Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy is scheduled to present the full budget.
