Unique national Identification or Aadhaar is one of the documents to prove oneself as a citizen of India. To issue Aadhaar card again, permanent residence certificate or school certificate, address of birth,
PRTC requires resident certificate of local village or urban area. Family ration card can be obtained if these three are available. Land can be purchased legally. Can be submitted for government service examination. There is an opportunity to secure the future of the children. As a result, there is a preoccupation among Indians to prepare these documents. In this case school certificate or school leaving certificate is one of the documents. In this situation, a large circle is working in their own sugarcane clusters by exploiting the needs of people and the tendency to obtain benefits unethically. This group is making families originally from Bangladesh to Indian citizens overnight on official documents. The situation has reached such a level that it is difficult to prove that the citizenship of these illegal Indian citizens is illegal. A similar picture was caught in all the four sub-divisions including Gandachhra in Dhalai district of Tripura.
Kamalpur, Longtarai Valley and Gandachhara sub-divisions of Dhalai district share border with neighbouring country Bangladesh. Compared to that, the district headquarters Ambasa is located very much in the middle. Even earlier, that is, in the last twenty-five or thirty years, there have been many complaints of illegal acquisition of Indian citizenship by Bangladeshi citizens from this district. In the state, there are allegations against many high-ranking officials of getting high-level jobs despite being Bangladeshis. It is clear that this is not possible unless a section of government employees is involved in this activity.
In 2018, after a long two-and-a-half-decade changed in government power, it was thought that all these anti-national immoral activities and money-making schemes would stop. After 2018, the related activities were almost closed for a few years. But according to the administration and related sources, this type of activity suddenly increased from the past few months. Aadhaar Card, PRTC, Ration Card and Panchayat Family List are now available within fifteen days of entering India through unguarded border crossings. Unbelievable though, it is a fact that a Bangladeshi family who came to district headquarters Ambassa two months ago is now fully Indian on paper. They also bought lands. Such incidents are also abundant in Kamalpur and Langtarai Valley sub-divisions.
Gandachara sub-division is in a crooked way to grab the Indian certificate. News, in exchange of five to seven lakh rupees, all the documents are available. Such incidents are happening more in villages like Pancharatan, Tuichakma, Thakurchhara, Kalajhari, Narkelbagan, Boalkhali. School leaving certificate is easily available from many schools. The teacher in charge is also signing the certificates of those who have never set foot in the borders of this school or whose parents have never come to this country. Allegedly, the government employees are also being subjugated by earning big money without hard work.
Importantly, due to the digital signature, the officials do not have the opportunity to examine every application. The work of Sub-Divisional Administrators has also increased a lot. As a result, the responsibility rests with the in-charge of the section. They also take advantage of this opportunity and make their pockets heavier by issuing certificates on fake documents. In this situation, it is demanded that the administration should start taking action. According to the SDM office, multiple applications for PRTC have been filed in the Sub-Divisional Administrator’s office. Among those applications, 90 percent of the applicants are Bangladeshi citizens. Complaints are coming up that the same person has been working in the same section for man Complaints are coming up that the same person has been working in the same section for many years, due to which various complaints are starting to appear against those employees.
For the sake of the country and for the sake of their own future generations, let the scammers stay away from the scam of making illegal money. Now it is to be seen whether the department initiate the investigation process in the certification offices. The common people of the concerned areas have demanded strict investigation immediately over this illegal activities.
