Satbhavna Divas celebration on the occasion of Rajiv Gandhi’s 79th birth anniversary

Agartala August 20: On Sunday August 20, Satbhavana Divas was observed by the Pradesh Congress to celebrate the late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s 79th birth anniversary with due dignity. On this day, Pradesh Congress workers and supporters started a march from the area adjacent to Agartala Circuit House. Later came to the Congress building and hoisted the flag and garlanded the statue of Rajiv Gandhi. Later, floral tributes were paid at Gandhighat.

State Congress president Ashish Kumar Saha, MLA Sudip Roy Barman, former MLA Dibachandra Hrankhawl and other workers and supporters of the Congress party were present on the occasion. State Congress president Ashish Kumar Saha said that the 79th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Rajiv Gandhi was celebrated as part of the national programme because he is relevant for country service.

Rajiv Gandhi dreamed of taking the country’s youth forward. The state Congress president also said that Rajiv Gandhi was the pioneer of peace and sacrificed him for the peace of the country. Rajiv Gandhi compared India with the West and wanted to build a developed India and an information technology developed India. Even at that time, the state Congress president claimed to have opened up new horizons to telecommunication in India.
