New Delhi, Tuesday: Industry and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma made a compelling case for investment in the state at the Destination Tripura Business Summit 2026, held at FICCI, Tansen Marg, New Delhi. Addressing a distinguished gathering of investors, industrialists, entrepreneurs and policymakers from India and abroad, she asserted that Tripura is poised for rapid growth and innovation.
In her keynote address, the Minister emphasized that the state offers vast untapped potential across multiple sectors. She highlighted opportunities in infrastructure development, agriculture and allied industries, bamboo and handicrafts, tourism, information technology, startups and manufacturing. Stressing the state government’s commitment to ease of doing business, she invited investors to explore Tripura as an emerging and sustainable destination in Northeast India.
“Tripura is opening new horizons of inclusive and sustainable development. This is the right time for investors to join hands with us and become partners in our growth story,” she said. She further noted that improved connectivity, proactive governance and investor-friendly policies have created a conducive ecosystem for industrial expansion.
Chakma also underlined the importance of meaningful engagement with national and global stakeholders. According to her, the summit served as a dynamic platform for dialogue, networking and forging strategic partnerships. “Constructive discussions and fresh collaborations strengthen our confidence that Tripura can evolve into a hub of industrial advancement and self-reliance,” she remarked.
