Review meeting held for budget of the financial year 2023-24

Agartala November 8: In the budget of the financial year 2023-24, funds have been kept separately for the work of various departments. A review meeting was held by the finance department on Wednesday to find out how much progress has been made in the work of these departments. In this meeting organized in Secretariate, a meeting was held with the secretaries, directors and related officials of various departments. And Finance Minister Pranjit Singh Roy presided over the meeting.

After the meeting, the Finance Minister held a press conference and said that there was a discussion about the work resources that have been kept in the budget so that no money is wasted anywhere, besides the development is not slow. He said that the work of some departments is going on slowly. Regarding the expensive allowance of government employees, he said that the matter is definitely under the consideration of the government. Finance Minister also said that good revenue has been collected from the Finance Department so far. He expressed hope that the budget deficit will be largely met. The minister said that the review meeting was held to convey the benefits of the projects in the budget to the people.
