Ashish Saha: Congress to fight ADC polls, Dharmanagar bypoll

Agartala, August 25: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Sunday emphasized that the primary objective of the current government is to address the fundamental issues faced by the people of the state.
“This BJP-led government is continuously working towards the welfare of the people with that objective in mind. If any problems arise, they will be solved through the joint efforts of all, as this government believes in moving forward together with everyone,” said Dr. Saha.
Dr. Saha said this after listening to the 113th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Mann Ki Baat” on Sunday.
He attended the program at a function organized in the hall of Bijayakumar Girls’ School in the capital, under the initiative of the Ramnagar Mandal.
During the event, Dr. Saha highlighted the heroism of Chiranjit Dey, a brave youth from Indranagar.
He noted that the 30-year-old sacrificed his life by entering the water to save others during the recent flood situation. Dr. Saha visited his family earlier in the day.
“His parents are also physically unwell, and there were no words that could console them. I told them that while their son cannot be returned, may he be at peace wherever he is, and may his soul rest in peace. People will forever remember the bravery he displayed. The state government will support his family. Visiting them left me deeply moved, but I also felt immense pride knowing that our country has individuals who have sacrificed their lives to save others,” said Dr. Saha.
He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi touched on several significant topics in his Mann Ki Baat program today.
“PM Modi brings to light various important and often unknown issues, aiming to unite the entire nation. He gathers information from across the country and shares these matters with everyone in the Mann Ki Baat program on the last Sunday of every month. Tripura is the only state where e-offices have been launched up to the Panchayat level, and this achievement was realized in a very short period of time. Additionally, the ‘Amar Sarkar’ program has been successfully implemented. I discussed this at the Chief Ministers’ Conference held in Delhi,” Dr. Saha stated.
Dr. Saha reiterated that the present government is dedicated to serving the people.
“One of the key objectives of this BJP-led government is to address the fundamental problems faced by every individual in the state. This government is fully committed to the welfare of the people. During today’s Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Modi discussed several crucial topics, including the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, recycling of non-perishable materials, and nature conservation,” he added.
BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharya, Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation and MLA of Ramnagar Dipak Majumder, along with other senior leaders of the party, accompanied the Chief Minister at the event.
