Agartala, Aug 16 – In a landmark event reflecting the integration of education, healthcare, and national development, Rajya Sabha MP from Tripura, Rajib Bhattacharjee, inaugurated a newly sanctioned ambulance at the National Law University (NLU) campus in Tripura.

As the donor and Chief Guest, Bhattacharjee’s contribution marked a significant step in advancing student welfare and strengthening medical support within the university.

The ceremony was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Tapan Majumdar, Director of Health Services, Government of Tripura, who attended as Guest of Honour, while NLU Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Yogesh Pratap Singh welcomed the dignitaries and thanked the State Government for its consistent support during the institution’s formative years.

In his address, Bhattacharjee reiterated his commitment to enhancing higher education and healthcare infrastructure in Tripura. Linking the initiative to the national vision of Viksit Bharat, he urged students to embrace responsibility as agents of change and contributors to nation-building. He also called upon the youth to resist the menace of drug abuse, terming it a serious obstacle to personal growth and national progress.

Bhattacharjee further underscored the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, encouraging students to uphold unity in diversity and strengthen collective responsibility.

Highlighting the ambulance’s significance, Prof. Majumdar remarked, “This is not just a vehicle—it is a vital, life-saving resource for the University community,” and expressed gratitude to Bhattacharjee for his generosity.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Singh emphasized the importance of sustained government support for the timely development of NLU Tripura’s upcoming campus, envisioned to provide world-class academic and research facilities.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Assistant Registrar Er. Aparajita Banerjee, marking the occasion as a celebration of service, solidarity, and a shared vision for a stronger future.
