Rajib Bhattacharjee Submits Nomination for Tripura By-Election

Agartala: August 21:State BJP President Rajib Bhattacharjee has submitted his nomination papers for the by-election of the only vacant seat in Tripura. On Wednesday, he visited the Assembly and met Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha. After greeting the Chief Minister, Bhattacharya, accompanied by Dr. Saha, proceeded to the ARO room to hand over his nomination papers.

Following the submission, Rajib Bhattacharjee addressed reporters, expressing gratitude to the BJP All India President, the Prime Minister, and the Union Home Minister for nominating him. He pledged to work towards accelerating the development of Tripura with the support of all assembly members. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha affirmed that Tipra Matha and IPFT are aligned with the BJP.

Rajib Bhattacharjee has been nominated by the BJP for the only vacant seat in the Rajya Sabha. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that Bhattacharya will continue to serve the state effectively as an MP, as he has done in his role as state BJP president. The nomination submission was attended by Chief Minister Dr. Saha, BJP ministers, MLAs, and representatives from Tipra Matha Dal, including Minister Animesh Debbarma. Given that MLAs are the voters in Rajya Sabha elections, it is anticipated that Bhattacharya will secure the vacant seat in Tripura.
