Railway police detain five youths with illegal drugs

Agartala: April 25: In a recent development, the Railway Police apprehended five individuals in connection with narcotics possession. Acting on a secret tip-off, the police swiftly deployed a team of Government Railway Police to the Jogendranagar Railway Station. Their mission, intercept the suspected youths who were allegedly carrying narcotics.

During the operation, the police detained one youth who appeared suspicious. Subsequent interrogation led to the arrest of four more individuals. A thorough search of their belongings revealed a stash of 160 bottles of Eskof, with an estimated street value of approximately Rs. 80,000. The accused have reportedly confessed to hailing from Bihar and had traveled from Bardhaman to Jogendranagar with the intention of smuggling the contraband into Tripura.

As the investigation unfolds, the police continue to question the arrested individuals to unravel the full extent of their involvement in the narcotics trade. The case remains under scrutiny, and authorities are determined to bring those responsible to justice.
