Rail services in Tripura come to standstill

Agartala, January 8: Rail services in Tripura have come to a standstill. Railway communication has been cut off due to engine breakdown in Dolubari area of Chandra Halam Para under Panisagar subdivision. The passengers suffered a lot.

It is learned that an empty freight train was leaving for Guwahati from Agartala on Sunday night and there was a sudden disturbance in the engine at around 1 am. The train got stuck in Dolubari area of Chandra Halam Para under Panisagar subdivision. Meanwhile, many passengers are stuck at Dharmanagar and Kumarghat due to the train getting stuck midway. Dharmanagar Agartala passenger train along with Humsafar Express is stuck at Dharmanagar station. On the other hand, Agartala-Silchar-bound passenger train including Janshatabdi Express is stuck at Kumarghat.
