Agartala, March 29, 2024: Chief Minister Professor (Dr) Manik Saha addressed an election rally in Mandai today, discussing significant political developments.

Saha acknowledged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi played a pivotal role in resolving the Jammu and Kashmir issue by abolishing Article 370 of the Constitution. This decisive action has led the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to prioritize the number 370 as its singular target in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Under Modi’s leadership, the Northeast region has witnessed substantial progress, surpassing what the previous governments achieved for Tripura. The BJP administration actively addresses challenges rather than merely coexisting with them. Notably, the Prime Minister has championed women’s empowerment, ensuring a 33 percent reservation for women in the state.

Saha emphasized that no previous prime minister had successfully resolved the Jammu and Kashmir issue as Modi did. Consequently, the BJP has elevated the number 370 to a central position in their election strategy, while their alliance partners aim even higher, targeting over 400 seats in the Lok Sabha.
