In a press conference on that day, he said that even though he could not form a government by reconciling seats with the Left in the previous assembly elections, the Congress party wants to do well as a national party in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Congress is advancing with that goal in mind. He alleged that since the assembly elections, terror has continued on Congress leaders, workers and supporters all over the state. Currently, the situation is somewhat normal, but many people are still unable to return to their homes. Because Sabroom is the center of Indo-Bangla trade, if there are more opportunities for communication there will be more development for the people of the state, also for making railway division at Dharmanagar.

Raising this demand, on May 7, representatives of various branch organizations of the state Congress will go to Guhati. A delegation will meet on deputation with the General Manager of NF Railway Headquarters Maligaon on May 8. In the press conference organized by Mr. Sinha, he also demanded renovation of the runway of Kailashahar airport to open Kailasahar airport soon. And if this airport is opened, the people of North district will benefit as well as the people of Assam will also benefit. He also said that many tourists come every year to 9 crores. He said that they will benefit.
