The three-member delegation, led by ECI Principal Secretary N.T. Bhutia and Secretary Santosh Kumar Dubey, held a comprehensive review meeting with senior administrative and police officials at the conference hall of the District Magistrate’s office in Dharmanagar. The meeting focused on key aspects of election management, including security arrangements, departmental coordination, voter facilitation, and logistical preparedness.

During the meeting, officials presented detailed reports on the measures taken to maintain law and order, the deployment of security personnel, and the arrangements being made at polling stations across the constituency. Special emphasis was laid on ensuring a free, fair, and peaceful election process in accordance with the guidelines of the Election Commission.

District Magistrate Chandni Chandran informed the visiting delegation that the administration has completed all preliminary preparations and is fully equipped to conduct the by-poll. “Preparations have been completed in all respects, and the district administration is ready to conduct the election whenever the schedule is officially announced by the Election Commission,” she said.

The meeting was attended by Superintendent of Police Avinash Rai, Additional Superintendent of Police Kamal Debbarma, Returning Officer Devyani Chowdhury, and Sub-Divisional Magistrates of Dharmanagar, Panisagar, and Kanchanpur, along with other election and administrative officials.

The ECI delegation reviewed the arrangements in detail and issued necessary instructions to streamline coordination among departments. The officials also stressed the importance of transparency, strict adherence to election guidelines, and efficient management of polling activities to ensure a credible and smooth electoral process in the Dharmanagar constituency.
