Police seized 180 kg dried cannabis: 5 arrested

Agartala: Dec 26: Jirania Police seized two vehicles with 180 kg dried cannabis today early morning from Sankar Bazaar area. Based on a confidential tip, police conduct a raid and arrested 5 persons including one woman.
According to the details of the incident, Jirania police conduct a raid based on secret information at Sankar Bazaar, NIIT area today early morning. During the raid police stopped to light vehicle bearing register number TR01D0554 and TR01B0233. During the search operation police seized 180kg dried cannabis worth Rs 900,000. And arrested 5 persons including a woman, Sahidul Hassan (23) of Kamalnagar, Sonamura, Hossain Mia (21) of Camper Bazaar, Kulsum Bibi (36) of Rajnagar, Ajay Biswas (23) of Madhupur and MD. Jakaria (20) of Kamalnagar.
Police registered a case under NDPS Act and started further investigation.
