Agartala: Feb 26: Radha Kishorepur Police Constable Jayanta Saha has been arrested in connection with an 82 lakh rupee scam at the Udaipur HDFC Bank. The arrest was made by Udaipur Sub-Divisional Police Officer Nirman Das late last night. Constable Saha was apprehended from Udaipur Police Line around 11 pm.
The accused constable was brought to the Udaipur court under the Radha Kishorepur police station today. He has been presented to the court with a request for a three-day police remand. Constable Saha has been accused of embezzling money from the customer’s account.
Meanwhile, customers have demanded that the money involved in the incident should be recovered and that strict action should be taken against the accused.
