The victim, Mangalcharan Debbarma (26), a rubber worker, was taken from his house by Jaggu Debbarma (27) from Briddhibazar area, Jonsen Debbarma (29) from Jirania area, and Ganesh Debbarma (26) from Takarjala Paillavanga area. Mangalcharan’s wife, Jyotika Tripura, became worried when he did not return home by late night. His family members searched for him throughout the night but were unable to find him.

Jyotika Tripura informed the police that her husband was called out by his three friends, who also had some money from selling rubber with them. On Tuesday morning, Mangalcharan’s mutilated body was found in a rubber plantation. She alleges that her husband was systematically murdered.

The police have arrested the three accused and have started questioning them. However, the accused claimed that after Mangalcharan was injured in a bike accident, they left him in the rubber plantation.

The incident has caused a stir in the area. The police have registered a case and initiated an investigation. Mangalcharan’s body has been handed over to the family after the post-mortem. He is survived by his wife and two children. Local residents have demanded strict punishment for the accused.
