Today, under the “Mukhyamantri Integrated Crop Management Programme (MICMP),” a paddy transplanting campaign was organized with great enthusiasm in the Jampuejola sector, specifically in the villages of Prabhapur and Haraikanta Para. The event was significantly enhanced by the presence of Dr. Uttam Saha, Joint Director of Agriculture, A.D. Nagar, and the Prabhari of Sepahijala.
The campaign featured various innovative planting techniques aimed at improving crop yield and efficiency. Among these were line sowing and hybrid paddy transplanting, using seedlings max 20 days to ensure robust growth. These methods were planned and demonstrated to the farmers to encourage the adoption of more effective and efficient farming practices.
Dr. Uttam Saha, along with Agriculture Superintendent Swapan Debbarama, other officials, farmers, ATM, BTM participants, and other dignitaries, actively participated in the plantation program. Their involvement not only underscored the importance of the initiative but also served as a powerful message to the farmers in the nearby villages about the benefits of adopting modern agricultural techniques.
The MICMP aims to integrate various aspects of crop management to enhance productivity and sustainability in agriculture. This campaign is part of a broader effort to educate and support farmers in implementing innovative farming techniques. By introducing hybrid paddy sowing and transplanting methods, where two seedlings are planted at one spot and in line with a specific distance, the program seeks to increase crop yield and promote sustainable practices.
The event was well-received by the local farming community, who showed great interest in the new techniques being introduced. The hands-on demonstrations and the participation of esteemed agricultural experts provided the farmers with valuable insights and practical knowledge.
The success of this plantation campaign in Jampuejola is a testament to the collaborative efforts of the government, agricultural experts, and the farming community. It highlights the potential for significant improvements in agricultural productivity through the adoption of integrated crop management practices. The MICMP continues to work towards empowering farmers with the tools and knowledge necessary to achieve higher yields and sustainable farming practices.
